Movies and music make up Sounds of Silent

LOCALS enjoyed a vibrant and entertaining musical and movie event recently at Uniting Church in Queenscliff. The Sounds of Silent are a five-piece ensemble featuring some of Melbourne’s most versatile and accomplished musicians. The Jazz ensemble recreates the silent movie experience from the 20s and 30s with improvised performances featuring fun, familiar and popular music in the style of the period. Attendees travelled back to the heyday of silent movies and experienced the films of comic icons Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin. The night was part of the Queenscliff Lowlight winter festival.
