Murder charges laid after fatal Norlane stabbing

A fatal stabbing in Norlane on Sunday afternoon has led to murder charges against three people.

Homicide Squad detectives have charged two men and a woman following the death of a 30-year-old Norlane man after an alleged altercation on Alkira Avenue.

Police allege three men and two women were involved in an incident outside a residence at about 12.40pm on 21 June.

The 30-year-old man suffered critical injuries and died at the scene.

A 28-year-old Norlane woman was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

A 28-year-old Corio woman, a 34-year-old Norlane man and a 39-year-old man from Lovely Banks have each been charged with murder.

The trio will appear before the Geelong Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
