CAN you hear that? It’s the sound of a good time at the Anglesea Golf Club.

The club is about the simple pleasures in life – good food, drinks, friends and live music.

Grab your crew and swing by the club on Saturday nights when talented local musos will entertain you late into the night.

This Saturday, November 5, Matty Orchard is lined up to play a mix of your favourite tunes. Book a table for dinner and stay afterwards to get your groove on.

There is also a dedicated 250 metre driving range with six individual bays.

The Clubhouse bar and bistro are open to the public seven days a week from 11am for coffees, snacks, lunch and dinner.

The fine dining restaurant sits comfortably between traditional pub food and a five-star fine dining experience by providing a little of both in a menu that is as varied as the tastes of its customers.

With dinner specials every night, there is sure to be something that will delight the palate of foodies far and wide.

There’s also a magnificent deck that overlooks the 18th fairway and accommodates up to 180 patrons, perfect for a drink or two and an opportunity to revel in the sunshine or the evening breeze.

The golf course itself is in the best shape it’s ever been with immaculately tended couch fairways and pristine greens set among eucalypt tree-lined fairways.

Along with the ever-present resident population of about 300 eastern grey kangaroos, these features all combine to produce a stimulating round of golf.

There is also a dedicated 250-metre driving range with six individual bays, allowing ample flexibility and accessibility for everyone who wants to practice.

A bucket of balls costs just $12 to hire.

For the budding Cameron Smith or Tiger Woods, there’s an 18-hole mini golf course on rolling fairways in a bush setting, which is fun for everyone.

Kangaroo Tours will be back for the summer holidays. The nature-based tours run by volunteer members are popular among non-golfing tourists.

Tour operating dates and times will be released soon – keep an eye on the Facebook page and website for details.
