THOUSANDS of people put their dancing shoes on at the Aireys Inlet Music Festival at the weekend.

More than 25 acts wowed audiences across three days of live music and entertainment.

Bands and solo acts rocked several venues in the coastal hamlet, including the Aireys Inlet Pub, Lighthouse Tearooms, General Store, The Captain of Aireys and Sunnymead Hotel.

C.W Stoneking headlined Sunday’s entertainment.

The festival started with plenty of energy at the Aireys Pub, with The Counterfeit, Owelu Dreamhouse and Cool Out Sun playing their best hits.

Saturday began at the General Store with Ania Reynolds, before the action headed to the Aireys Pub and then onto the Sunnymead Hotel for a disco extravaganza.

Sweet Talk and Queenie got the vibes going before Kutcha Edwards sailed into the night with a powerful performance.

In their first festival performance in twenty years, The Vasco Era brought the heat before BABBA made a dancing queen of all.

BABBA was very popular among attendees.

The festival rounded out with attendees dancing the rain away with C.W Stoneking, The Casanovas and some relaxing tunes from Tommy Castles.

Festival director Patrick Donovan said people turned out in force to catch some of the country’s top acts.

“We are exhausted, exhilarated and relieved. It was just an amazing few days.

“Friday and Saturday were just perfect, the sun was out and the rain held off until the last song of BABBA. It was amazing to see a thousand people dancing away.

“From walking around and chatting, everyone had a different favourite band, which is what you want with a festival.

“We were very happy with how it all went.”

Queenie was a popular act.

Mr Donovan said festival organisers would catch their breath in anticipation for a huge 2026 festival.

“People are really trusting the curation now. The feedback was a lot of people hadn’t seen these acts before, but they are now their favourite bands.

“We will keep it [the festival] boutique and a really comfortable exciting experience for all.”
