MYSTERY WINNER: Armstrong Creek newsagent awaits winner of $613,000 TattsLotto ticket to come forward
ONE lucky local with an unregistered TattsLotto ticket could soon be pocketing more than $613,000, with NewsXpress Armstrong Creek awaiting the Division 1 winner to come forward and claim their six-figure prize.
The mystery Geelong winner held one of the seven Division 1 winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4039, which was drawn on Saturday, April 4.
Each entry took home a Division 1 prize of $613,016.67.
NewsXpress Armstrong Creek owner Wayne Davis said because the ticket was unregistered, officials from the Lott had no way of contacting the winner to inform them of their life changing prize earnings.
“I’ve only been open seven months. This is the first Division 1 winner I’ve sold at this store,” he said.
“A lot of people don’t come forward and wait for things to cool off. An unregistered ticket means someone’s just walked off the street and bought a ticket, so it could be sitting in their pocket without them knowing that they’ve won.
“If you’ve bought a ticket from us, make sure you get it checked, (especially) in this time of need. We might be in a bad time, but dreams do still happen for people.”
TattsLotto spokesperson Bronwyn Spencer encouraged anyone who purchased a TattsLotto ticket in draw 4039 from NewsXpress Armstrong to either search for or check their tickets.
“Make sure you check your wallet, handbag, fridge door and car glovebox. Previous winners have found valuable tickets in all sorts of strange places,” she said.
“You can check your numbers on the Lott website, via the Lott app and at your local retail outlet.
“If you discover you are holding the winning ticket, contact us on 131 868 to begin the process of claiming your prize.”
The winning numbers in TattsLotto draw 4039 on Saturday, April 4 were 33, 36, 11, 39, 19 and 22, while the supplementary numbers were 7 and 18.
NewsXpress Armstrong Creek is located within the Village Warralily Shopping Centre on Barwon Heads Road.
