NORMAN CELEBRATES HIS 90TH

Clifford “Norman” Follett recently celebrated his 90th birthday on October 10 with family and friends. Norman’s grandfather was James Henry Follett, who came out to Australia in 1851 from Somerset, England and became one of Torquay’s earliest land buyers. James Follett built the Seaview (now Peachs Torquay) and the Coffee Palace in 1887, which is now the Torquay Hotel.
