One Agency crown 2024 calendar winners
THE 13 winning photographers to feature in the fifth annual One Agency Surf Coast calendar photo competition have been crowned.
One Agency and esteemed surf photographer Ed Sloane unveiled the lucky winners from over 200 local entrants at a lively function at Bomboras last Thursday evening.
The 2024 calendar will include images captured by eight different photographers, comprising of both familiar faces and fresh entrants.
The 2024 calendar cover shot was awarded to Torquay photographer Paul Elshaug for his stunning image of Point Danger at sunrise.
One Agency also invited the community to vote for their favourite photo via a Facebook competition.
The ‘Crowd Favourite Award’ was claimed by Mount Duneed photographer Phil Thomson for his dazzling photo, “At the Mouth.”
One Agency Surf Coast director, Shaun O’Callaghan, expressed his admiration for this year’s participants.
“This year, we received over 200 submissions, and we were in absolute awe of the quality of the entries, many of which were taken on a smartphone,” he said.
“It was great to see new talents among the winning photographers, including a 16-year-old budding Torquay photographer who is very handy with a Canon camera.
“We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the individuals who took part in our competition this year. It’s a privilege to call to amazing place home, and through your lens, we continue to be wowed by its beauty.”
Other winners included Louise Edebone (Solitude and Reef Patterns), Brett Edwards (Bells), Josh Crabtree (The Winki Pop Wanderer and Breaking Dawn), Romy (Tangerine Horse and Cathedral Glow), Fletcher Allmand (Jan Juc Bird Rock) and Callum Grindal (Jan Juc Beach).
The free calendars will be available from One Agency Surf Coast’s office at 22 Bristol Road, Torquay.
