Out of the Ord: surfing pics published

WHEN Russell Ord first started taking pictures of his mates surfing using an old camera, he never imagined his life’s work would revolve around that very hobby.

Years later and after achieving career milestones across the board, the former Rugby League player and fireman has teamed up with ABC writer Anthony Pancia to publish his first book – Surfing: Water is Freedom – which features his world renowned images and the stories behind them.

Awarded the 2016 IPA International Sports Photographer Of the Year at the Lucie Awards and exhibited in Germany at Photokina 2016 as well as Japan 2017 for FujiFilm, the release of this book marks another artistic breakthrough for Russell.
