SURF Coast’s Ellie Pashley was the second Australian to complete the athletics women's marathon in Tokyo.
Pashley completed the Olympic event in two hours, thirty-three minutes and thirty-nine seconds.
Due to high temperatures, the marathon was rescheduled to start an hour earlier at 6am to avoid the heat.
