Police Report – March 8, 2018

March 7, 2018 BY

The months of January and February in 2018 have seen a marked reduction in crime in the Torquay area in comparison to previous years.

While there have been occasional offences being committed over our busiest period, we have managed to avoid the serial offending which has plagued us in previous years, most notably being a reduction in theft from cars in our beach car parks.

We have also been fortunate to have avoided any drownings so far this year on our Torquay beaches, although there have been some close calls and we ask beachgoers to remain vigilant near the water and to keep a close watch on their family members. We remind our residents that Torquay continues to be serviced 24 hours a day and to report any suspicious behaviour to 000.
