Polwarth MP hosting community meetings
POLWARTH Liberal MP Richard Riordan will resume hosting Listening Posts within the electorate and is encouraging local community members to attend.
Mr Riordan will be at the Anglesea Shopping Centre on Thursday, October 8 between 11.30am and 12.30pm, and at Aireys Inlet General Store from 1pm to 2pm.
Abiding by COVID Safe protocols, the community will have the opportunity to meet with Mr Riordan and share their experiences of the past months, voicing their concerns and ideas for a future post-COVID. People will be able to discuss any concerns and give feedback to Mr Riordan to help direct his response to the government’s strategies as well as provide a snapshot of how restrictions have affected individuals, families and businesses.
“I am really looking forward to the chance to personally meet with constituents. It’s been a stressful time and I know that a lot of people have struggled with the impact of restrictions on their lives so this will be an opportunity for them to meet me and voice their opinions,” Mr Riordan said.
“This is a good opportunity for local people to let me know what they need and how they are managing with all the life changes and restrictions on personal freedoms. My office is open for phone calls and emails, but sometimes a face to face discussion is the best way to express your views, so I encourage anyone to attend, even if it is just to say hello.”
