THE world’s best surf films will land on the Surf Coast at the Australian Surf Museum next year.

The Bells Beach Surf Film Festival released its bumper lineup via social media on Thursday last week.

Held from January 2 to January 4, the 14th annual event will present 10 surf films and several special guest speakers.

Point of Change tells the story of a group of surfers discovering the famed surf break Nias.

It will feature cult film Jay Phillips Isn’t Dead, biopic Belinda, local film Solly and a special screening of African Territory II.

Attendees will also see Walkabout, which documents the life of Indigenous surfer Robbie Page, and Point of Change, which tells the story of a group of surfers who discover the famed surf break Nias.

Festival director John Foss said he was confident the event would sell out, following back-to-back years of strong attendance numbers.

“We are stoked to be bringing the world’s best surf films to Torquay in 2025.

The festival will feature 10 films and several guest speakers.

“The festival opens with Jay Phillips Isn’t Dead and features Solly, Belinda and the beautiful Children of Teahupo’o.

“Friday night we have a special screening of African Territory II as the Azulay brothers continue their epic surf adventure along the coast of Africa.

“Point of Change will also be popular. Directed by Rebecca Coley, Point of Change has a fantastic music track including music by Dick Dale, the Surf Punks and the Temptations.

“Ten surf films over three nights – it should be an amazing festival!”
