COMMUNITY radio station 94.7FM The Pulse is inviting residents of the Corangamite and Corio electorates to put their big questions forward to their federal election candidates in two Q&A-style forums at The Pulse studios in Geelong later this month.

The two forums, to be held on May 16 and 17 respectively, will be broadcast live-to-air on The Pulse ahead of the 2022 Federal Election, and livestreamed via The Pulse’s website.

They will take place at The Pulse headquarters in Geelong in front of a live studio audience, where community members will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to their electorate candidates.

The Pulse station manager Leo Renkin said this year’s forums would be more important than ever for community members to make an informed decision about which candidate is best for the region’s future.

“The past two years have been such a challenge for the Geelong community and its members, highlighting the importance of democracy at a grassroots level. That’s what these forums offer, and why they’re so unique.”

The Corangamite forum will be held on May 16 from 10-11.30am, with the Corio forum to be held on May 17 from 10-11.30am.

The Pulse says the forums aim to provide residents of Geelong and surrounding areas with a platform to have their pressing questions and concerns directly answered and to ensure voters are making an informed choice on election day.

The forums are free to attend.

To book your seat, or submit a question if you can’t attend in person, head to the 94.7 The Pulse website.
