SCHOOL children from prep through to VCE took part in the 72nd annual Geelong Schools Music and Movement Festival (GSMMF) at Costa Hall.

The region’s oldest festival, this year’s GSMMF was one of the biggest, with thousands of students from over 40 schools performing across four days on August 13-17.

The festival gives students an opportunity to shine in a professional theatre environment, through a variety of performances, including song and dance, circus acts, rock bands, choirs, orchestras and concert bands.

Young people from the city, coast and country came together to perform for friends, family and fellow students, with seven sessions scheduled across the four days, including Anglesea Primary which performed on Wednesday and Aireys Inlet on Friday.
