THE RACV Torquay Resort is again the toast of the town after claiming statewide honours for a third consecutive year.
The local accommodation and hospitality provider took home the Best Meetings and Events Space of the Year – Regional title at the 2025 Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence.
The “night of nights” for Victorian accommodation providers drew over 800 hoteliers, industry suppliers and tourism sector stakeholders.
More than 300 venue and individual nominations were considered across the awards, which celebrated venue and service excellence across Victoria’s regulated commercial accommodation sector.
RACV Torquay Resort manager Dean Newell said his team were absolutely thrilled to be recognised at this top level.
“The success at the Victorian Accommodation Awards for Excellence is fantastic recognition for the RACV Torquay Resort.

“The talented and experienced team here works hard to deliver on the service and experience that our guests have come to expect at RACV Resorts. I’m really proud of them and the positive impact they’re able to have in our community here.”
RACV executive general manager of leisure Craig Peachey agreed.
“To win Best Meetings and Events Space for the third year running at Torquay Resort is particularly special – it demonstrates our consistent commitment to providing world-class conference and events facilities for our guests,” he said.
Geelong restaurant Tempo Kitchen and Bar also came away winners at the awards, triumphing in the Regional Hotel Restaurant of the Year category.
