Reconciliation event moves to larger venue
A FREE truth-telling event slated for Anglesea this weekend has had a location change due to demand.
The conversation, hosted by Surf Coast for Reconciliation, will no longer be held at the Anglesea Community House and will instead take place at Torquay Community House tomorrow (Saturday, March 23) between 5-6pm.
The discussion will feature co-chair of Reconciliation Victoria, Federation University’s Professor Andrew Gunstone, an international expert on the topic of reconciliation.
Professor Gunstone will appear in conversation with independent journalist and founder and editor of Victorian Aboriginal News, Uncle Charles Pakana.
They will discuss the future direction for reconciliation and truth-telling in a post-referendum world.
Professor Gunstone’s new book, Reflections on the Voice – During and After the Campaign, will be available for purchase on the evening, with all proceeds used to fund an Indigenous PhD truth-telling scholarship.
