STEAMPACKET Gardens will turn red again as the Melbourne Renegades Family Day returns to Geelong this month.

The Renegades will host the exciting annual event on December 13 as preparations ramp up for their BBL season opener at GMHBA Stadium.

Fans are encouraged to come together and enjoy a day out in Geelong, with kids’ activities, giveaways and appearances from their favourite players on offer.

The free event will be an opportunity to celebrate Melbourne’s impressive season in the WBBL so far that sees them well in the finals hunt, and also build hype for what looms as another exciting campaign in the men’s BBL competition.

Geelong will again be a second home for the Renegades, as they begin their season with two straight clashes at GMHBA Stadium for the first time.

They will take on the Brisbane Heat on December 15 and the Hobart Hurricanes on December 21.

There will also be a local splash in their hunt to return to the finals this season, with promising young duo Ollie Peake and Callum Stow among the new additions to Melbourne’s primary list.

The family day will run from 12 noon to 3pm.

One- and two-game memberships for the Renegades’ Geelong matches are available via their website.
