Roadworks begin at Armstrong Creek intersection

UPGRADE works on the corner of Barwon Heads Road and Harkness Boulevard are now under way.
Being completed by Harriott developer Jinding, the works will improve traffic flow and linkages for thousands of Armstrong Creek residents and visitors.
As part of the upgrade, the major road realignment will include the installation of traffic lights and provide a thoroughfare to The Village Warralily Shopping Centre and future sports ovals.
Once the works are complete, motorists will be able to turn left when travelling south onto Harness Boulevard and turn right onto Barwon Heads Road when heading north.
Jinding managing director of development Dr Andrew Ashwood said the upgrade will make daily travel easier and enhance overall liveability.
“This intersection upgrade is a critical piece of infrastructure that will significantly improve traffic flow and accessibility for Armstrong Creek residents.
“As the community continues to grow, ensuring safe and efficient road networks is a key priority.”
The works are being undertaken by local Geelong company Wellam and are expected to be compete in mid to late 2025.
During some of the construction, road users will need to use Boundary Road to enter and exit Harriott, throughout this period there will be signage and traffic controls.
The Harriott sales suite is at the corner of Barwon Heads Road and Harriott Road.
