JAN JUC surfer India Robinson is riding sky high after qualifying for the 2024 WSL Championship Tour overnight (October 18).

With a round three win over South African Sarah Baum at the Corona Saquarema Pro in Brazil, Robinson guaranteed her spot on the elite women’s tour for next season and also moved into first place on the 2023 Challenger Series rankings.

The 22-year-old’s climb back to the Championship Tour has been one of hard work and dedication.

Robinson has publicly documented her long battle with concussion, and how it almost derailed her rookie season on the Championship in 2022 and her future in the sport.

She said it was an amazing feeling knowing she would be back surfing against the world’s best in 2024.

It feels great to be back on Tour, I’m the number one seed at the moment and I just want to maintain that, keep surfing well and go back home to Bells to compete my best there.

“My trip here to Brazil has been amazing, it’s been such a special moment, and to share it with my best friends and Mum has been the best part.

“I’m just lapping it up, soaking up all the energy and hopefully I’ll keep it up till Finals Day.”
