Rockin’ around the Christmas parking lot

Waves Music Co. hosted its annual Christmas in the Parking Lot special on Saturday, with a handful of the Surf Coast’s finest musicians turning out to Torquay Hall for an afternoon of jamming.

While some unfortunate weather meant the event had to be moved indoors, the rain didn’t dampen the spirits of the individual and group acts who took to the stage.

The Waves students kicked off the festivities before the Welcome to Country ceremony, with Jan Juc singer songwriter Jasmin Adria stealing the show thereafter.

Other performers included Finnigan August, De Porsal, Bec Goring, Joanna, Emily Suckling, Victoriana Gaye and Tommy Castles.

Ocean Grove six-piece rock outfit Bones and Jones – who recently released their new single “Donna” – closed the show with an energetic performance.
