A sea of locals at carols

December 21, 2017 BY

HUNDREDS gathered for Torquay’s Carols by the Sea last Saturday December 16, as local artists Jessica Sherman, Amy Leposa and Noah Gray, together with local school and singing groups, sang carols and shared the Christmas spirit in the community.

The annual Carols by the Sea is a community event filled with fun, entertainment and carol singing, hosted by the combined churches of Torquay.

The Torquay Lions Club ran a sausage sizzle, with children’s entertainer Willow Star providing entertainment throughout the event.

Generous donations were also made to the local SES to support the vital work they do.

Carols by the Sea organisers took to their Facebook page to thank volunteers for their help and support.

“Thank you to all the volunteers who made the carols such a great success; planning, set up and pack down, selling candles, handing out carol sheets, stage decoration, a special visit from Santa and his helpers and everything that went on behind the scenes over the past few months”.

Carols by the Sea is an annual event in Torquay and a highlight on the local Christmas calendar.
