A NEW electronic scoreboard has Ellimatta Reserve looking in tip-top shape with footy finals just around the corner.

Anglesea Football Netball Club partnered with the Community Bank Surf Coast to launch the infrastructure earlier this month before the senior women’s match against Modewarre.

Community Bank Surf Coast provided a grant of $50,000 towards the scoreboard, a testament to its commitment to the local community and the future of the Anglesea FNC.

Bank marketing co-ordinator Kelly Turner said the bank was very proud to have supported the upgrades.

“Sporting clubs are more than just places for physical activity – they are the heart of small towns like ours and bring people together, foster community spirit, and create a sense of belonging,” she said.

“The new scoreboard will enhance the experience for players and spectators alike, making our games even more engaging and enjoyable.

“Our investment in the Anglesea Football Netball Club is just one example of how we give back to the community that supports us.”

Anglesea FNC vice-president Steve Bews thanked the bank for its support.

“Their support has been just amazing, we couldn’t do it without them,” he said.

“To put that type of investment into the club is a massive bonus for all our senior and junior grades.

“Not only does the scoreboard now have the scores and times, which is really important, but it also gives us a chance to thank our sponsors for their support.

“We can key in player milestones on it, and we’ve also got a little kangaroo which hops across the screen when a goal is kicked.

“It’s all really modern and is definitely a winner based on the feedback so far.”
