Share your signs of spring with the shire

September 10, 2020 BY

One of the photos already submitted to the #SignsOfSpringSCS hashtag.

SPRING has sprung, and the Surf Coast Shire council wants to see what’s making you smile.
The council has launched a “Signs of Spring” photo competition, and is encouraging people to send in their shots of flowers blossoming, kids blowing bubbles, vegie patches, pets playing and life’s other simple joys.
Upload photos taken from your backyard or while on your iso walks, for example, and post them to Facebook and Instagram with the hashtag #SignsofSpringSCS.
There are six local hampers to be won. The three winning photos will each receive one hamper for the person who took the photo, and one hamper that the winner can gift to someone they know who is doing it tough right now.
Upload your photos by 5pm on Tuesday, September 15.
The winners of “Signs of Spring” will be chosen by Surf Coast Shire mayor Rose Hodge by September 18 and will be advised via Facebook or
Instagram, as well as announced on the shire’s website.
Entry is open to people of any age who are visiting Surf Coast Shire and who permanently reside in Australia.
Employees of Surf Coast Shire council are ineligible to enter.
