THE Surf Coast Shire is encouraging local businesses of all sizes and from all sectors to share their experiences via an online survey.

The information gathered through the Business Insights Survey will assist the shire to better support local businesses and the economic growth of the community, informing its programs, services and policies.

The survey takes about four minutes to complete and aims to understand the present business environment, with questions based around the priorities, challenges and insights of local owner-operators.

Shire mayor Liz Pattison said the council is committed to understanding the unique needs of the shire’s local businesses and providing them with the support they need to succeed.

“Council encourages all businesses to participate as we value the input of our local owner operators,” she said.

“The more information collected, the more we can understand what businesses want to thrive into the future.

“We look forward to seeing local businesses build a stronger, more resilient local economy.”

Participating businesses will also go into the running to win a $1000 video production prize with local videographer Heidi Banas Creative.

“We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to win a prize for participating businesses,” Cr Pattison said.

“Heidi has offered a 60-second promotional video.”

Survey results will be released in spring on the Surf Coast Business Collective Facebook page and in the collective’s newsletter.
