Shire’s finest pets feature in new calendar

A SELECTION of the Surf Coast’s finest pets has been unveiled on the just-released 2023 calendar from Hayden Real Estate.

Of the more than 200 photos from Surf Coast pet owners who sent in images of their dogs, cats, horses, chickens and even a lizard, sales manager Ben Smith said it was canines that dominated the final product, with 12 dogs and one cat.

“There’s over 7,000 registered pets down here… we got some amazing shots, it was really hard to choose the final 13,” he said.

Each entrant received a voucher from local business Petstock, and Mr Smith said the overwhelming number of people who sent in photos combined with their positive feedback meant the first-of-its-kind calendar for Hayden’s will become an annual publication.

“Those that were lucky enough to be chosen for the calendar were really excited.

“We’ll definitely do it again next year, Petstock will be back on board.”

The calendars are free from either of Hayden’s offices in Torquay or Anglesea, but Mr Smith said “they’re disappearing” quickly and were only available while stocks lasted.
