Little Creatures Geelong will present its Winter Wonderland carnival this July, bringing the snow to the city across two days of seasonal entertainment.

Locked in for Saturday July 20 and Sunday July 21, the iconic brewery village will transform from a summery paradise into a winter’s delight as snow machines take over the site.

The talented crew from Down Under Ice Designs will return to the brewery’s canteen to carve ice blocks into works of art on both afternoons, while other attractions including a ballerina in a bubble, snowflake skater and interactive art instalments will keep guests pleasantly occupied.

Event co-ordinator Vicky Gilbert said the carnival is one of the few events of the year where the weather won’t impact its success.

“This event is all about embracing winter and enjoying the best of what the season has to offer. It really is a fantastic
event, with something for everyone to enjoy,” Ms Gilbert said.

“The addition of our new event space, Furphy Hall, also allows us to spread the fun over multiple venues, making it a more comfortable experience for visitors.”

As part of the celebration, Little Creatures will showcase its speciality beers including a hazelnut brown ale (brewed specially for the event) as well as its winter seasonal stout.

Mulled cider, mulled wine and winter warmers from the kitchen will also be on offer.

Little Creatures general manager for hospitality, Paul Rogasch, said the winter event is fantastic for the brewery and Geelong.

“We’re really excited that Winter Wonderland has grown into an annual highlight for the Geelong brewery. We love seeing everybody braving the chill for a great day of entertainment, fun and a few beers,” he said.

The Winter Wonderland carnival will kick off from midday each day and continue into the evening with fire performers and DJ Scotty Snow scheduled in the event line-up.
