To be held at Torquay Taphouse on May 2, the luncheon invites carers of all forms to the event to celebrate with Italian-inspired cuisine and entertainment from Andy Pobjoy.
Event organisers are still looking for a gold sponsor who will receive maximum exposure at and before the event and table sponsors to provide small gifts on each table.
Mother’s Day Luncheon committee member Clare Lumley said sponsors will also get exposure on the parents and friends social pages they have created.
“We’re featuring sponsors as they come on board and depending on what tier of sponsor or donation they get, they will get a number of posts on the page featuring their brand and business and services.
“There’s good opportunities there for sponsors to tap into that school and business audience within Torquay.”
Donations for raffle prizes of various value are also needed. One of the most popular events on the day, the raffle also generates the most revenue.
Ms Lumley said the luncheon was a critical event for St Therese in terms of fundraising.
“This is one of the biggest fundraisers for the school for the year and all of the funds from this go to upgrades at the school whether it be in the classrooms, technology, school grounds, maintenance works or new playgrounds.”
The event has been part of the community for almost 20 years and has undergone a rebrand for 2025 to create a more relaxed atmosphere and introduce the theme La Dolce Vita; “the sweet life”.
“We’re really trying to tap into mums and carers coming and having a really great time celebrating with friends, really enjoying that time together and also getting to interact with some of the key brands that are sponsoring the event as well,” Ms Lumley said.
