St Therese holds cross country
ST THERESE Catholic Primary School pupils raced across Torquay Front Beach on Friday last week for the school’s annual cross country event.
Overcast conditions threatened to scupper the day, but to the relief of many teachers, parents and pupils, the rain held off long enough for the competition to run.
The school’s deputy principal Jan Fagan said competitors and spectators alike enjoyed the event and its surroundings.
“St. Therese is in the enviable position of being able to use our magnificent environment to run its annual cross-country. The students enjoy the challenge and staff, families and students all enjoy the surroundings at Front Beach.
“This event is largely a fun day with some students progressing to the next level of district cross country participation.”
Ms Fagan also thanked the schools the school’s sports co-ordinator and the parents who volunteered to help run the day.
