Stellar music festivals to return to Torquay back-to-back

TWO of Torquay’s biggest music festivals are back in February 2023, with Zaccaria Concerts and Touring announcing the return of the By The C and SummerSalt shows on back-to-back days.

By the C will kick off on Saturday February 4 at Torquay Common, with an outstanding lineup of Australian favourites including Jimmy Barnes, The Living End, Wolfmother, Noiseworks, Baby Animals, The Screaming Jets, Thirsty Merc and Dallas Crane.

“We’re only doing a handful of shows this summer, so we intend to make each and every one of them count,” Jimmy Barnes said.

“They’re a full tilt line-up of great rock bands and I can’t wait to get back out there.”

Barnes will be headlining Saturday’s event and is known as one of the heart and souls of Australian music, boasting 19 number one albums both as a solo artist and during his time with Cold Chisel.

The Australian rock legend has provided crowds with memorable live performances, resulting in an outstanding career and a two-time inductee to into the ARIA Hall of fame.

Backing it up on day two of the Zaccaria Concerts and Touring mega music offering will be the SummerSalt festival, a slighty different flavour from the rock tones of Saturday.

Co-headlining Sunday’s entertainment will be Sydney born sibling duo Angus and Julia Stone and American soulful superstar Ben Harper, who have been soothing the ears of Australian audiences for well over a decade.

Accompanying them on the stacked bill will be the acoustic sweet sounds of Canadian artist City and Colour, Australian rockers The Rubens, Middle Kids and Alex the Astronaut.

CEO of Zaccaria Concerts and Touring, John Zaccaria said he couldn’t wait to get the lineup together, which boosts Grammy Award winners, number one hit single makers and ARIA chart toppers.

“We are absolutely thrilled to be returning to Torquay again this summer with not one but two amazing outdoor concerts – Summersalt and By The C, with incredible musical line ups,” Zaccaria said.

“Our last concert there was a sell out and we can’t wait to welcome back the people of the Surf Coast and Bellarine Peninsula who we know are huge music lovers.

“It’s a magnificent venue and location.”
