Stress-free osteopathy at Quay

December 6, 2017 BY

THERE are key milestones in life and business, and last week Quay Osteo achieved a major one.

Having provided quality healthcare for the Surf Coast community for the past four and a half years, the clinic moved to a standalone premises, complete with a warm, welcoming reception area, spacious light-filled rooms and a large off-street car park on Boston Road.

Owner Dr Laura Walsh said creating a trusted, multi-disciplinary health centre on the Surf Coast has been her ambition for nearly 10 years.

“To have finally realised such a big dream is quite overwhelming to be honest,” Dr Walsh said.

“To be standing here, in this incredible space, it’s taken some time to sink in.”

Quay Osteo prides itself on doing things differently, wanting clients to experience the positive impact of treatment on their overall wellbeing, not just have their symptoms resolved.

“How else can we help? What else do you need? What would you love to be doing? These are just some of the questions that the Quay Osteo team are regularly asking clients,” Dr Walsh said.

“Osteopaths Dr Katie Milbourne and Dr Cailin Mellberg bring unique skills and experience to the clinic. Between them they have experience in gym rehab exercise and equipment, working with ironman athletes, soccer, running, netball and mountain bike riding.”

Dr Milbourne said the team at Quay Osteo considered multiple factors when creating a plan for an individual.

“We truly practice health care,” Dr Milbourne said.

The clinic has a particular passion for maternal care, with the staff having observed mum’s too often sacrificing their own healthcare due to a lack of time.

The clinic hopes to address this by creating an alternative, with the incredible reception team, including Ginni Bilston and Dee Ogden, entertaining children during the morning hours to ensure mum’s get time to focus on their own health.

The Quay Osteo clinic is open six days a week and can be phoned on 5215 1106.
