SURF COAST Coast Secondary College is holding its annual exhibition celebrating the artistic talents of their VCE students tonight (Thursday, November 21).

Held at the college, Artwave not only shows the quality of the students art, but the diversity.

Artist and RMIT lecturer Julie Shiels said the exhibition’s broad array of artworks was open to everyone to enjoy.

“We welcome anyone from the community who is interested in the arts to join us for a one night showcase of art, design, print and film productions of our VCE Media students, models from Product Design along with a series of live performances by our Music and Drama students.”

Students will also have their achievements acknowledged through the Artwave Awards.

These will be divided into areas of Studio Art, Visual Communication Design and the 2019 Media Awards, which will be presented by Swinburne University and stop-motion animator lecturer Glen Hunwick.

The event will begin at 6.30pm in Surf Coast Secondary College’s art department.
