To celebrate World Mental Health Day, Geelong’s GMHBA Stadium is set to host a unique and uplifting sunrise yoga session, bringing 2,000 people together to share in the joy of movement.

The event, named Serenity in the Stadium, will take place on Thursday, October 10 from 7am, with attendees taking to the field for a one-hour guided yoga session.

Open to yogis of all ages and experience levels, the event aims to not only promote and spread awareness about the importance of mental wellbeing, but to provide the community with a supportive and tranquil environment in which they can foster new connections and inspire change.

The event is an initiative of mental health charity Read The Play, community participation project Active Geelong and Kardinia Park Stadium Trust, in collaboration with major partner Plan Group.

All proceeds raised from Serenity in the Stadium will support the work of Read the Play and Active Geelong.
