Surf Coast brands off to Geelong

December 13, 2017 BY

FOR the first time, local Surf Coast businesses are collaborating together to take their brands outside the haven of the beach town and into Geelong.

The women behind these brands are working hard to create unique products that are inspired by the Surf Coast.

Emma Barr from Yogi Peace Club, who came the idea for the collaboration with Briody from Earthbottles, said they knew many women who had created their own brands from start to finish and felt they deserved a bigger platform to showcase their work.

“We know that without collaboration, growth would take a longer time, but by using each other’s platforms we can reach a larger audience, and market the Surf Coast as a design hub for emerging brands,” Ms Barr said.

“There are so many amazing elements that make the Surf Coast special and these women behind the brands emerging as international successes are one part of that.”

The Surf Coast business women will be showcasing their products at the Luxe Xmas Market in Geelong at King of the Castle on Saturday, December 2.

These brands include:

Yogi Peace Club
Earth Bottles
We are Dougal
Gypsy and Co
Akua Swimwear
Anahata Crystals
Jux Jewellery
Retreat Yourself Box.

“This is one off collaboration which will reach a broader audience outside of Torquay. We are taking our Surf Coast style to Geelong which we are all very proud of,” Ms Barr said.

“It’s possible we will continue this, but for now we’re excited for this coming Saturday.”
