Surf Coast Times Torquay Cup backs a winner

THE seventh annual Surf Coast Times Torquay Cup was another fantastic day with punters revelling in the races, raffles and live entertainment.

Surf Coast Times advertising director Warick Brown said it was the greatest yet, drawing massive crowds to raise money for another worthy cause.

“With the local business community coming together for an end of holiday season party, it’s a celebration of all things Torquay.

“Having more than 340 local people come together and collectively help raise $10,000 for our beloved Spring Creek Community House is the reward for us all.

“Thank you to all the race sponsors, table hosts and raffle prize donators along with the Geelong Racing Club for their continued support.”

The winner of the SCT Torquay Cup BM64 Handicap was Found Out, jockeyed by D.M.Lane, with Hardern second and Menegatti third.
