Surf Coast tipsters to provide $10,000 to local community groups
THE Surf Coast Times and Community Bank Surf Coast are excited to announce their inaugural $10,000 AFL tipping competition is just under a week away from commencing.
Set to kick off next Thursday night when the Richmond Tigers play the Carlton Blues, the partnership tipping competition will see locals put their expertise to the test to secure funding for a nominated community group of choice.
The first-place tipster will win $5,000 for the group of their choice, followed by $3,000 for second, $1,500 for third and $500 for fourth.
Community Bank Surf Coast branch manager Daniel Norris said that the organisation couldn’t wait to get the tipping started.
“Overall, it’s terrific and very exciting for us to be partnering with the Surf Coast Times for this competition,” Norris said.
“We hope the groups that are on board can get some fantastic exposure and raise their profile about the key initiatives they are doing in our community.
“The $10,000 in funds is certainly one aspect, but it’s also about raising awareness of these community groups and the fantastic work they do.”
