EXPRESSIONS of interest are being sought for hospitality vendors looking to make their mark on one of Australia’s most famous coastal locations.

The Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority (GORCAPA) is seeking applications to lease the Lorne Swing Bridge Café.

Located at the mouth of the Erskine River, the café is a much-loved institution for locals and visitors alike.

GORCAPA is offering a 15-year lease for the site, giving the r

ight operator the chance to bring new energy and ideas to the landmark.

GORCAPA director of community, corporate affairs and visitor economy Andy Mathers said running a café in a place like this is a dream for many.

“It’s not just a business opportunity – it’s a chance to become part of a thriving local community and one of the most spectacular coastal landscapes in the country.”

“This is more than a café. It’s a living, breathing icon of our coast.”

To ensure applicants understand the site and its unique potential, attendance at an in-person briefing is mandatory.

The next two sessions are today (Friday, July 25) and on Wednesday, July 30; both at 5pm.

Interested parties must register for their preferred briefing session through the Tenders Victoria Portal.
