Teddy bears prepare for flight

TEDDY bears will be flying through the sky next month at the 2025 Australian Parachuting Championships.

The unique fun-loving event will take place on January 19 at the Christ Church in Birregurra.

Community members are invited to create a special parachute for their bravest teddy bear and watch them glide down from the top of the bluestone church tower.

The Birregurra CFA and Teddy Bear ambulance will be keeping an eye on all adventurists during their flight and will be on hand for any rescues needed.

Registrations will kick off at 11am, followed by parachuting from 12:30pm.

The day will also include kids activities, face painting, live music, BBQ’s and several market stalls.
