Tee off for a good cause

TEAMS will take to the fairway as the Muirfield Financial Services Jan Juc SLSC Golf Classic returns to RACV Torquay golf course on January 9.

Following the success of previous years, the Ambrose format will bring local businesses, community members and golf enthusiasts together to raise crucial funds for the club’s lifesaving efforts.

Jan Juc Surf Life Saving Club (SLSC) President Brett Thompson said the event is one of the highlights of the year.

“It’s a chance for the community to come together, have a great day, and support a cause that helps save lives on our beach.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Muirfield Financial Services, our naming rights sponsor, and all the other local businesses who make this event possible.”

 

The 2025 classic will include excitement on and off the course, featuring a Mercedes-Benz A200 Hatch valued at $62,000 as the hole-in-one prize, sponsored by Mercedes-Benz Geelong and Maven Insurance.

Novelty events will also take place including a putting contest, longest drive and nearest the pin, with raffles, auctions and activities back in the clubhouse.

Businesses and community members are encouraged to sign up now, with seasoned and beginner gofers invited to attend the day full of great company and good times.
