The Living Room offers new spiritual home in Torquay

July 11, 2018 BY

Senior Pastors Mark and Caroline Jurisic are starting a new church in Torquay.

A NEW church in Torquay says it will offer another opportunity for people of all ages to experience the reality of God’s love and power.

The Living Room will start at the Torquay Scout Hall at Spring Creek Reserve on Saturday July 28 at 6pm.

The church will branch off from CityWest Church in Melton, where Mark and Caroline Jurisic have been the Senior Pastors for more than 17 years.

With the motto, “It’s about Relationship, not Religion”, The Living Room aims to be a place that provides a spiritual home and helps people discover their true worth, unique purpose and amazing value as a person in relationship with God and others.

“We are also committed to coming alongside the existing churches in Torquay and add to what has already been a well-respected spiritual voice in the region,” Caroline said. “The Living Room will offer weekly Saturday night church services that embrace the heart of the Christian faith and provide a real-life, down-to-earth experience that everyone can relate to and find meaning in.”

With contemporary music that will bring a deep connection to God, inspiring teaching that will provide helpful guidance for a successful spiritual life and genuine friendships that feel like family, The Living Room is a church unlike what many people will have experienced before.

“We always love the thrill of showing people how relational and meaningful it can be to move beyond a strictly religious view of God to one of personal relationship,” she said.

“God is better than many think and is so good to us despite our misunderstandings and religious hang-ups.

“It really is a life-changing truth that gives lasting peace, joy in all seasons of life and hope for an amazing life.

“Jesus told us that He came to give us life in abundance and when we discover what that actually looks like, a whole new world opens up!

“We invite everyone to come and check us out and see how relationship with God and others can add so much value to life.

“The Living Room is a place where life takes on a fresh, new meaning.”
