The summer of the nipper

TORQUAY Surf Life Saving Club has wrapped up another unbelievably successful instalment of its intensive summer nippers program.

Club director of marketing Sarah O’Dwyer said that this year, 477 nippers were enrolled in the program representing a growth of 45 per cent.

She said that there were up to 300 participants per session across the eight-session program, which covered beach, water and rip education units.
