Tori Awards celebrate achievements
ALL Aboard disABILITY Support Service have held their annual Tori Awards to celebrate the achievements of their participants throughout this year.
The Surf Coast-based organisation timed the event to run just before the globally recognised International Day of People with Disability, marked around the world on December 3.

Much like the Logie Awards, the Tori Awards are a glamorous, red carpet event hosted annually in Torquay and took place on Friday last week.
Participants, their families, staff and volunteers all dressed in Op Shop glamour to receive the bespoke, handmade awards, created in memory of one of the original participants, Victoria “Tori” Marshall who passed away in 2019.
Live entertainment included a performance from Miss Rose’s Dance Troupe and the All Aboard choir, along with live music from the hugely talented Jackson and Jonah Ellis.

There were huge smiles and warmed hearts from everyone in attendance and high praise for the co-ordinators.

“The Tori Awards are most definitely the highlight of a wonderful year for our entire team,” founder and director Kate Marshall said.
“The pride in the room throughout the evening was palpable.”
