Torquay Boardriders score

WHAT an amazing day on Saturday for Torquay Boardriders Clubs’s (TBC) first 2016 senior competition. Jan Juc delivered fun three to five foot peaks all day. The challenging conditions showed the emergence of a new talent in the female division, 14-year-old Angela Ball. Angela picked the best waves during her heats which helped her win the Open Women’s division against considerable, young field. This included Bella Wilson, who came second, India Robinson third, Rikki Bell Warren fourth, Ella Sweeney fifth and Angelique Kefalas sixth. Angela also won the Under 16 girls division. These were Angela’s first ever TBC round wins. Nic Muscroft won the Open Men’s division with an excellent performance, illustrating why he used to be on the World Tour. Nic beat Cody Robinson second, Harry Mann third and Todd Rosewell fourth. In his TBC debut, “The Mullet”, Kenta Ferguson took out the under 18 boys division in a comprehensive performance. Kenta took the win against Jake Milliken second, Nathan Rivalland third, Seamus The day was an overall success with more than 110 competitors and 38 heats. Thanks all for a great day and look forward to seeing you all at the second aggregate (juniors April 23, and seniors April 28) Some quick news also on our Easter Raffle, which has drawn by Matt Wilkinson after he won his first Bell. Congratulations Matt and thank you for very generously donating your board to the TBC. The raffle was won by Kim Jones from Bondi Boardriders. Many thanks to the community who helped us achieve one of our best fundraising results ever.
