Torquay event sells out in just minutes

December 18, 2020 BY

Coastal Jam has marked its return by selling out in just eight minutes.

DESPITE a tight one week turn around, Coastal Jam sold out in just minutes marking the return of events to the region.

Event organiser Adam Metwally said the uncertainty of restrictions have meant those in the entertainment industry have to be prepared to “pull the trigger when things become available”.

The feeling of urgency was reciprocated by the public with all tickets selling out in just eight minutes.

“No one is wanting to take things for granted now, we had more than three times the capacity on the registration list,” he said.

Hosted by Torquay Hotel the event will take place on January 25, 2021, catapulting Victorians into a COVID-normal way of life.

Mr Metwally and the Hotel will work together to provide a safe and enjoyable event with extra emphasise on ensuring contact tracing will be possible and that all patrons will be scanned in.

The sell out event comes just a week after it was reported that Torquay Hotel would be opening all areas of the venue supporting around 600 patrons during service.

Coastal Jam will feature ten DJs with Melbourne acts such as Stace Cadet and Spacey Space as well numerous locals including Ben Reyment, Merl and Vanilla Neptune.
