THE Torquay Hotel has unveiled the designs for its new beer garden, a two-stage redevelopment that has been years in the making.
The refreshed space will be larger and has been designed for all seasons, offering a cosy space in winter and a “breezy” one through the summer.

Once the redevelopment is complete, the beer garden will be capable of hosting big crowds, with the new space including a built-in stage for gigs, three bars, modern restrooms and a wood-fired pizza kitchen.
The redevelopment, which is already under way, will involve the construction of a new freestanding building, positioned off a side street with its own distinct identity and new entrance.
It will be crafted from precast concrete, natural stone and steel.

The project, supported by the Victorian government through its Regional Tourism Investment Fund, has been designed in two stages. Stage one will open in December, while stage two is set for completion by mid-2026.
“This refreshed space is bigger, better and ready for good times,” the Torquay Hotel shared on Facebook last week.
“We can’t wait to kick off a huge summer of music, food and good vibes with you.”
