THOSE tuning into Paramount+ TV show Aussie Shore may see a familiar face, as Torquay local Lexie Dyer gets in front of the camera with her big personality.

Aussie Shore is Australia’s first iteration of the international reality show Jersey Shore, with the cast calling Cairns home for six weeks of drama, romance and shenanigans.

Ms Dyer said she always wanted to go on TV and follow in the footsteps of her dad, Paul “Chicken” Dyer, who appeared in season four of Big Brother.

“I think my personality just screams entertaining people, and I love to make people laugh, so I think it’s just been something I’ve always wanted to touch on,

“I also love to challenge myself and so I wanted to put myself in a definitely chaotic environment and challenge myself and see how I went.”

Ms Dyer is no stranger to being on camera. As a content creator she’s used to talking on camera and seeing herself, but has never done anything as big as this before.

The Torquay local, who describes herself as pansexual, said viewers at home will see “absolute chaos” and a “hot mess” from her on the big screen.

“Expect to see every single emotion under the sun, I think I went through it all and I think you would be able to see that.”

Filming for the show started in April and was a highlight for the 23-year-old, allowing her to be in the present and without her phone.

“Taking in every single second was the best thing and doing things I never thought I’d be able to do, like meeting people that were as much in it as I was, was just really cool to be around.”

After the show, Ms Dyer hopes to continue growing her social media and being on TV.

“I think that it’s definitely my calling and I think it’s what I’m meant do,” she said.

Aussie Shore premieres on Paramount+ today (Thursday, October 3) with its first two episodes, with a new one to be released each week.
