Event tees off to raise funds for Torquay SLSC

THE annual Torquay SLSC (TSLSC) Golf Day fundraiser has been hailed as another success.

Held on October 25 at RACV Resort Torquay, golfers played in cool but sunny conditions and with only light winds, which ensured all involved had a great afternoon on the fairways and greens.

Participants included club members, local businesses and interstate guests, which ensured a good mix of skills and some fresh faces to visit what TSLSC describes as its “golf course next door”.

TSLSC congratulated winners on the day as well as those people who picked up prizes in the raffle and auction supported by TSLSC’s sponsors, supporters and prize donors.

The golf day was the last official fundraiser by the TSLSC Foundation, which has completed its mission to raise money for the club, raising a total of $80,000 over the years.

The club thanked Kate Tass and Tiffany Quinlan for their assistance in setting up and running the Golf Days over the years and for ensuring the foundation’s efforts help support the Torquay community.
