Torquay TOWN’s a whole lot lighter

TORQUAY TOWN (Take Off Weight Naturally) has recorded another successful year of weight loss with two members successfully reaching their weight loss goals.

TOWN leader Barbara Carey has been affiliated with the club for 17 years and said they were now up to 40 members.

“At our recent award ceremony, we gave awards out to the people that had lost the most weight, and encouragement awards for those who are doing well,” she said.

“It costs members $50 to join but once they’ve achieved their goal weight and maintenance they get that money back. We’re a support group.”

Torquay TOWN has been providing their services to the community for 18 years and has been running across Victoria for half a century.

New members are always welcome with the TOWN club meeting every Wednesday from 6-7.30pm at the senior citizens rooms located on Price Street, Torquay.
