LOCAL traders officially welcomed Grand Slam Physiotherapy into the Torquay business community during a special networking event on Monday this week.

More than 40 representatives from local businesses enjoyed mingling over a breakfast from Feed Me Surf Coast and coffee from 3rd Reef Coffee, unveiling the Grand Slam Physiotherapy building as a complete product for the first time.

Grand Slam Physiotherapy owner Ben Herde said he was thrilled to host the grand opening of the business’ new facility, thus giving locals traders a chance to connect and form strong relationships.

Grand Slam Physiotherapy was officially opened alongside the Commerce Torquay networking event.

Attendees were treated to breakfast from Feed Me Surf Coast.

“We [were] grateful to combine our new premises opening with a Commerce Torquay networking event… we share a lot of shared values whereby we like to embrace community and communities are an integral part of both organisations.

“Our value is being leaders in sports medicine and to be innovative and to be there for our patients, regardless if they wanted to be a Grand Slam champion or look after their grandchild.

“We feel that a new facility enables us to take us to that next level whereby we can complete the whole picture for our patients care.”

Les Watson was the event MC.

Mr Herde said he was thrilled with the overall attendance of the event and hoped that more people would continue to embrace all the amazing businesses on the Surf Coast.

The next Commerce Torquay networking event is on April 27 and will be a HR session with Carli Saw from Strawberry Seed.

More details will be posted to the Torquay Commerce website and socials this week.
