Toy Library to celebrate birthday
AFTER another busy year, the Surf Coast Toy Library is celebrating its 23rd birthday, and everyone’s invited to join the festivities.

Award-winning children’s entertainment act the Mik Maks will also be there to perform and get kids up and about.
The Surf Coast Toy Library is a not-for-profit organisation that provides a wide range of toys, puzzles, games and sporting equipment for children of Torquay and the Surf Coast Shire.
Run by a committee made up of members who have volunteered – mums, dads, carers, and grandparents are all encouraged to become members.
Members have access to all toys, which can be borrowed for a period of two weeks at a time, all they ask is toys are returned clean and in good working order.
You can borrow up to four items at one time on a single membership, or up to six items with a family membership, return and borrow toys as many times as you like.
The Surf Coast Toy Library’s toys suit children from six months up to early primary school.
They even have a “party pack” which includes a mini-rollercoaster, jumping sacks, egg and spoons for racing, a teeter-totter, and a parachute.
This can be hired on a one-off basis for free – see the “Party Pack” tab on the menu on their website. It’s A great way to keep the kids entertained at Birthday Parties. The Toy Library committee invites everyone to come along, from past, current and potential future members with their family and friends.
