Upstart Challenge launched

UPSTART Entrepreneurial Challenge launched its annual entrepreneurial program and business ideas competition for high school students last week at an event featuring Jason Clarke.
Founder of Minds at Work, Jason Clarke has worked with clients across Australia in almost every industry and government sector on issues ranging from creativity, innovation and problem solving to culture change and leadership.
His continued collaboration with Upstart aims to raise stronger awareness with businesses about the importance of nurturing young entrepreneurs.
When young entrepreneurs are given opportunities to learn business skills, work with professionals and experience real-world business activities, they pursuing their career choices.
“Upstart Challenge Programs encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in all students,” Upstart director Jenny Perks said.

“Having watched my own kids grow in confidence and creativity through the Upstart program, I found myself with this amazing opportunity to help create those experiences for many more young people. “We believe we have created something special and we would love more students, schools and businesses to join us.”
Business guests joined the Upstart team and Mr Clarke at the Geelong Library and Cultural Centre on March 1.
The event was a networking opportunity for business community, entrepreneurs, innovators and educators who shared knowledge and made valuable connections.
High school students are invited to register to attend the Big Ideas Competition Student Launch event on March 22 at the Deakin Cats Community Centre.
